Digidesign CoreAudio Driver Usage Guides 7.x for Mac
To install the Digidesign CoreAudio Driver 7. Is there still an “opt-in” list? Please choose audio device”. At the moment it’s just iTunes but I switched all of my sound to the Mbox instead coresudio the built-in.
What coeaudio I missing here? I’m posting this because I just went through the same issue with OS X I haven’t tried it, but folks on the Avid forums say Ploytec offers a paid, working driver. I change my audio preferences to Mbox Demo and it beeps about every 30 seconds.
Fri Jan 07, 9: Any comments now that you’ve gotten the fuller story? Can’t find anything about that on this forum or Digi’s.

Many thanks to those who posted trying to help – Renee. Some such devices seem to work with generic drivers.
Live is a popular program, Mbox is widely used, CoreAudio is obviously widely used – so why isn’t this working. I have never installed a driver for it.
